Age restrictions and licence requirements

Minimum driver age is 21, maximum age is 75 for rental. Drivers over 76 should email us for approval first, which should not be a problem. Drivers aged between 21-24 will have to opt for additional insurance cover (young driver waiver) and will be subject to an additional surcharge. Drivers must of held a licence for at least 1 year, and must show both parts if a photo card licence. Passports or identity cards must be shown for identification. There may be certain restrictions if the driver has endorsements on their licence, we must be notified prior to your rental.

Rate & Promotion Quoted
The price quoted online is a pre-paid promotion and will be charged to your card when you book online, if the promotion is a non pre-paid promotion it will show a deposit due, with the balance due on arrival.

Fuel conditions
You will be required to pay a fuel deposit. Your car will be supplied with a full tank of fuel and must be returned full missing fuel charged at local rates will be debited from your deposit. If you have selected a fuel purchase option you will not be charged a fuel deposit.

General restrictions & green card waiver
Cars may be taken out of the United Kingdom to EEC Countries. You must purchase European Roadside Assistance Cover of GBP 50.00 additional to the Green Card insurance cover, surcharge above to take cars to mainland Europe. You are not permitted to drive into any non EEC Countries. A congestion charge of GBP 5.00 per day must be paid to local outlets if driving the car in the “inner ring road or other designated congestion zones. All vehicles come fully comprehensive insurance cover (CDW, Third-party, TP included) subject to an insurance excess*

Super Collision Damage Waiver
All vehicles come with CDW, as with all rental company’s you are liable for an insurance excess. You may wish to purchase additional protection, Super CDW, to waive the already limited liability in case of damage to our vehicles. If you opt for Super CDW your insurance excess is reduced down to a maximum of GBP 100.00 in the event of accidental damage to our vehicles. We recommend this option if you are not covered by other means, for the insurance excess.

New Premium Waiver
No Insurance liability, we will pay the insurance excess for you in the event of any accidental damage to our vehicles. You will however be charged an administration fee of £35.00 + V.A.T in the event of any damage to the rental vehicle. Your insurance excess is GBP 0.00 an insurance coverage offered by very few rental company’s. and proving to be very popular. You are however responsible for an admin fee of £35.00 + V.A.T which will be charged to your card in the event of damage to the rental vehicle. As with all insurance coverage’s non-accidental damage will be charged accordingly.

Additional Driver
Additional drivers are possible with a small fee per driver per day. The person named on the reservation booking must be the main driver, present at time of rental and payer of any rental charges. Renter not driving. The only exceptions to a person renting without driving are physically impaired customers with a disability that would preclude them from driving. In each case the driver must meet the rental qualifications. Physically impaired person must be present; however the driver may sign the rental agreement with the blind/ visually impaired person’s name by signing his/her own name next to the renter’s e.g Peter Bedbororouh by Andy Alldine.

Child Seats
Child seats are mandatory in the United Kingdom. We offer safety / booster seats for children from all locations and for all vehicle groups with at least 24 hours notice. If you receive the notice “special equipment on request only”, please contact our international reservations team to book. Child seats are available for intercity within the UK mainland (except from Dundee) but you will be required to leave a GBP 50.00 deposit at time of rental. If the seat is not returned or is returned damaged a charge will apply.

Fast Track Vehicle Return – Platinum Service
This is a platinum service offered to all customers renting a vehicle from an airport location, currently you return your rental vehicle to a compound within the airport perimeter. Once returned you then take the free transit / bus into the airport terminal, takes approximately 10mins. If you opt for Fast Track, you can return your vehicle directly to the place you collected it, within the short stay car parking facility, which is conveniently walking distance from the departures lounge or arrivals lounge. Making your rental experience totally hassle free. (This has proved a very popular service).

Cancellations Protection
We levy a charge for modifications and cancellations of any booking you are unable to honour prior to the collection of the vehicle, as detailed; No refunds will be given for rentals ended early, late collections, no shows or cancellations of any kind. If you are unsure of your travel plans we recommend you take the cancellation waiver which will entitle you to a 98% refund in the event of cancellation minus an administration fee of GBP 38.50. Cancellations under this protection will not be accepted within 2 hours of commencement of rental.

Roof Box Option
The option gives you the added benefit of a roof box fitted to the vehicle to give you some extra space for luggage. This option is subject to availability, and suitability for the vehicle type selected.
